Precision Massage Explained

Abnormal biomechanical stress and trauma.

This is another way of saying you slouch when you sit. You hunch toward your screens. Maybe you sleep on your side (or stomach).

Today the average person spends 10 hours a day sitting, this includes driving and lounging on your sofa. These are abnormal biomechanical positions created by modern living.

The damage is accumulating in your soft tissues when you sit, or sleep awkwardly. When you crane your neck forward. When you slouch. When you have less than perfect form at the gym. Ongoing repetitive stress creates very specific areas of long-term soft tissue damage.

It takes a while for your pain to show up. But it shows up eventually. Most people think pain is a normal part of aging. It isn’t. Pain is the sign that the long-term damage has reached a threshold. You simply can’t tolerate any more damage to the inflamed and painful area.

Now is the time to act! Don’t ignore your pain. Start treating the exact soft tissues at the source of your problems.

Treating your inflamed soft tissues at the first sign of your problem can save you countless hours lost to decreased mobility, limited range of motion, and pain and suffering. Not to mention stopping your problem from advancing to doctor visits and physical therapy and surgery!

Somewhere around 40 years old, sometimes sooner, sometimes later, your aches and pains start showing up — seemingly out of nowhere. And all at once! You can feel like you’re falling apart!

Precision Massage is an instrument-assisted soft tissue treatment modality that identifies and targets the accumulated scar tissue caused by years of abnormal biomechanical stress and trauma.

Gently and effectively, Precision Massage works to reduce scar tissue damage and return soft tissues to better function. This can reduce pain, increase mobility, and let you take back control of your health.

FAQ

Why Does My Hip Hurt?

Your thigh and pelvis securely connect at the hip joint, but even the slightest imbalance in the muscles and tendons located here can cause major problems. Hips (like shoulders) function through a highly movable ball and socket joint encased in soft tissue (ligaments and joint capsule). Hip problems are widespread because tight muscles and tendons (caused by sitting and driving), located above or below the joint can cause uneven wear. You will experience pain faster and more severely exactly where the tight muscles and tendons are jamming the ball and socket. These exact tight muscles can easily be identified and treated with focused Precision Massage and could potentially save you from progressing into chronic pain and surgery. If you’re already facing surgery, you might save yourself a lot of money and recovery time by first attempting to address your existing soft tissue imbalances near the joint.

Precision Massage first identifies exactly where your knee or hip or ankle is tight. Then the damaged soft tissues are treated until your symptoms improve. Many clients have avoided knee replacement just by lengthening and strengthening the soft tissues above and below the knee.

Precision Massage also can be very beneficial for your knee to gain mobility post-surgery by gently loosening all the remaining tight soft tissues around the knee.

Tightness, pain and loss of range of motion can often occur when scar tissue accumulates around the top or sides of your ankles or the bottom of your feet.

Precision Massage identifies the tight muscles and tendons, and occasionally tight ligaments surrounding your foot and ankle. With treatment, the looser soft tissues will often provide major relief and healing.

Teeth grinding, trauma, dental procedures, postural issues, and chronic pain in your neck joints may all contribute to a misaligned jawbone.

Some clients who have not found any relief from any other treatment modality have found immediate and lasting improvements through Precision Massage treatments!
